ANTHEM:  Blessed Are They Who Trust in the Lord by Kerry Lewis; Desiree Flores, alto solo

Blessed, blessed are they who trust in the Lord, whose confidence rests in God alone. They flourish like trees growing close to the stream; their roots find water, deep waters of life. They do not fear trouble, nor wilt beneath the scorching heat.  In time of drought they are still green; they still bear fruit and stand secure.  I the Lord search the heart, I examine your mind and thoughts.  I will reward, I will redeem; be righteous and live in my ways.  Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved.  In you is my trust, for you are my love.  I praise you, praise you with all my soul! [Based on Jeremiah 17:7-14]
