PRELUDE:  Praise Ye the Lord, the Almighty (BMW 650) by J.S. Bach

HYMN:  From All That Dwell Below the Skies [Lasst Uns Erfreuen]

INTROIT:  Make This Church a Welcome Place by Joel Raney

Lord of mercy, Lord of grace, make this church a welcome place.  To the hungry and the poor, may there be an open door.  To the weary and distressed, may this be a place of rest.  Lord of mercy, Lord of grace, make this church a welcome place. Reaching out to others, serving both great and small, sharing our abundance with one and all.  Lord of Mercy, Lord of grace, make this church a welcome place, where we come to seek the truth; fill our hearts and worship you in our words and through our deeds, knowing you will meet our needs.  Lord of mercy, Lord of grace, make this church a welcome place.  Amen. [J. Paul Williams]

SCRIPTURE LESSON:  Genesis 12:1-4a

ANTHEM:  There’s a Wideness in God’s Mercy by Mary McDonald

There’s a welcome for the sinner and more graces for the good; there is mercy with the Savior; there is healing in his blood.  But we make his love too narrow by false limits of our own; and we magnify his strictness with a zeal he will not own.  There’s a wideness in God’s mercy, like the wideness of the sea; there’s a kindness in his justice, which is more than liberty.  If our love were but more simple, we could take him at his word; and our lives would be more loving in the likeness of our Lord.  There is kindness, there is justice, there is mercy that’s wider than the sea; there is goodness, there’s forgiveness, God’s mercy over me. [Frederick W. Faber]

SERMON:  “To Bless All Families”

HYMN:  For Everyone Born [For Everyone Born]

HYMN:  Let Us Build a House (All Are Welcome) [Two Oaks]

RESPONSE:  Send Thy Spirit by John Carter

O send thy Spirit, Lord, now unto me, that he may touch my eyes and make me see; show me the truth concealed within thy Word, and in thy Book revealed I see thee, Lord, Amen. [Alexander Groves]
