PRELUDE: Come, Join the Dance of Trinity by Michael Burkhardt

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

CALL TO WORSHIP

INTROIT:  Your Church to All by John Purifoy

As Your church we come together, Lord, where e’er we are today.  Move us toward complete communion as one family, we pray.  Help us learn to see each person whom we meet beyond these walls as our sister or our brother.  May we be Your church to all.  May we kneel before the strangers whom we meet beyond these walls.  May they see reflected in us Christ who came to serve us all.  He who was Himself rejected, cared for those the world had scorned; fed their bodies, healed their spirits, comforted the ones who mourned.  Living lives of invitation, may we never turn aside other peoples, other nations.  May we bridge and not divide.  Give us eyes to see within them, Christ, our Brother and our Friend; not to look on them as other, never shun or condescend.  As Your church we come together, Lord, where e’er we are today.  Move us toward complete communion as one family, we pray.  Help us learn to see each person whom we meet beyond these walls as our sister or our brother.  May we be Your church to all!  [Pamela Stewart]

ANTHEM: Go to the World! (Sine Nomine) by R. Vaughan-Williams/Arr. James Chepponis

Go to the world!  Go into all the earth.  Go preach the cross where Christ renews life’s worth, baptizing as the sign of our rebirth.  Alleluia.  Alleluia.  Go to the world!  Go into every place. Go live the Word of God’s redeeming grace.  Go seek God’s presence in each time and space.  Alleluia, Alleluia.  Go to the world!  Go struggle, bless and pray; the nights of tears give way to joyous day.  As servant Church, you follow Christ’s own way.  Alleluia, alleluia.  Go to the world!  Go as the ones I send, for I am with you ‘til the age shall end, when all the hosts of glory cry “Amen!” Alleluia, alleluia.  [Sylvia Dunstan]

RESPONSE:  This Touch of Love by Michael Burkhardt

This touch of love, this taste of peace, how can it last and still increase?  I cannot bear to have this air of wonder cease.  This happy feast, this friendly bond, how can I keep it long beyond this fleeting hour, this surge of power, this treasure found?  Christ Jesus, you are what I need, the Bread and Wine on which I feed, no friend so true, no life so new I’m rich indeed.  O savior, now my spirit raise, give new direction to my ways, in all I view, in all I do, to give you praise.  [Jaroslav J. Vajda]

The flowers have been given today in memory of Joseph Hellen (Shelley’s father).
