CALL TO WORSHIP

INTROIT:  O Splendor of God’s Glory Bright by Peter Matthews

O splendor of God’s glory bright, O thou that bringest light from light, O light of Light, light’s living spring, O Day, all days illumining, O thou true Sun of heavenly love, pour down thy radiance from above: the Spirit’s sanctifying beam upon our earthly senses stream.  With prayer the Father we implore:  O Father, glorious evermore, we plead with thee for grace and power to conquer in temptations hour, to guide whatever we nobly do, with love all envy to subdue, to give us grace our wrongs to bear, to make ill fortune turn to fair.  All laud to God the Father be; all praise, eternal Son, to thee; all glory to the Spirit raise in equal and unending praise.  [Ambrose of Milan, Tr. ANTHEM:   It Is No Secret (What God Can Do) by Stuart Hamblen/arr. Joseph Martin

The chimes of time ring out the news, another day is through.  Someone slipped and fell.  Was that someone you?  You may have longed for added strength, your courage to renew.  Do not be disheartened, for I have news for you.  It is no secret what God can do.  What He’s done for others, He’ll do for you.  With arms wide open, He’ll pardon you.  It is no secret what God can do!  There is no night for in His light, you’ll never walk alone; always feel at home wherever you may roam.  There is no power can conquer you while God is on your side.  Just take Him at His promise.  Don’t run away and hide.  Great is Thy faithfulness!  Morning by morning new mercies I see.  All I have needed Thy hand hath provided.  Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!  [Incorporating “Great is Thy Faithfulness” by William Runyan]

BENEDICTION

RESPONSE:  This Little Light of Mine Traditional/arr. by George Mabry

This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.  Every day, I’m gonna let my little light shine.  On  Monday, he gave me the gift of love; on Tuesday, peace come from above.  On Wednesday, told me to have more faith; on Thursday, gave me a bit more grace.  On Friday, told me to watch and pray; on Saturday, told me what to say.  On Sunday, gave me the power divine just to let my little light shine.  This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.  Every day, gonna let my little light shine.
