WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

CALL TO WORSHIP

HYMN:  O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing [Azmon]

PRAYER

SOLO:  I Said a Prayer for You Today by W. Elmo Mercer; Maria Schafer, soprano

I said a prayer for you today, and know God must have heard; I felt the answer in my heart, although he spoke no word.  I didn’t ask for wealth or fame, I know you wouldn’t mind; I asked him to send treasures of a far more lasting kind.  I asked that he be near you at the start of each new day, to grant you health and blessings, and friends to share your way.  I asked for happiness for you, in all things great and small; but it was for his loving care I prayed the most of all.  I said a prayer for you today, because I care for you!

SCRIPTURE LESSON: Acts 3:1-8

HYMN:  O Lord, Our Lord, How Majestic Is Your Name [How Majestic]

SERMON: “In the Name of Jesus”

ANTHEM:  Praise the Name of the Lord by Bobby Huguley

Sing unto the Lord when there’s joy and blessing.  Praise the name of the Lord.  Bow before the Lord, your thanks expressing.  Praise the name of the Lord.  God will always see you through, always loving and faithful.  Gracious mercy ever true.  Praise the name of the Lord.  Come before the Lord when your heart is breaking.  Praise the name of the Lord.  You can count on Him when you feel forsaken.  Praise the name of the Lord.  Drying tears, He knows your grief, giving strength and comfort.  He’ll be there to bring relief.  Praise the name of the Lord.  In everything, give thanks to God and praise His name sublime.  For all will be made beautiful in the fullness of His time.  For every gift comes from His love, each tear a garden grows.  Be glad and lift your thanks to Him, from Whom all blessings flow.  When there is pain, through the rain, and sorrow, praise the name of the Lord.  Fighting through the night, ‘till the light of tomorrow, praise the name of the Lord. In the things you can’t explain, you can trust His promise.  God will help you live again.  Praise the name of the Lord! [additional text by Mark Austin]
