PRELUDE:  What Does the Lord Require by Michael Burkhardt

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

CALL TO WORSHIP

HYMN:  All Creatures of Our God and King [Lasst Uns Erfreuen]

PRAYER

INTROIT:  All My Hope on God is Founded by Michael Burkhardt

All my hope on God is founded who will all my trust renew, who through change and chance will guide me, only good and only true.  God unknown, from thy throne, call my heart to be thine own.  Mortal pride and earthly glory, sword and crown betray our trust; what with care and toil we fashion, tower and temple, fall to dust.  But thy power, hour by hour, is my temple and my tower.  Great thy goodness, ever enduring; deep thy wisdom, passing thought; splendor, light, and life attend thee, beauty springing out of naught.  Evermore from God’s store newborn worlds rise and adore.  Still from earth to God eternal sacrifice of praise be done, high above all praises praising for the gift of God’s own Son.  Christ doth call one and all: ye who follow shall not fall. [Joachim Neander, paraphrased Robert Bridges]

ANTHEM: A Prayer for Humility by Mark Patterson

Mighty God and gentle Lamb, Lord of all creation, how we long to know you, how we strive to serve you, help us now to love you even more.  Give us humble hearts to praise you and listening ears to hear your voice, willing hands to serve you, thankful spirits to rejoice.  Lord of all, we adore you, and we bring this prayer before you: create in us humble hearts.  When our thoughts turn proud, remind us of the grace you freely give.  When we lose our way, Lord, find us, draw us close to you again.  Give us humble hearts to praise you and listening ears to hear your voice, willing hands to serve you, thankful spirits to rejoice.  Lord of all, we adore you, and we bring this prayer before you: create in us humble hearts.  Amen.
