PRELUDE: Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow (A Doxology Contemplation) Old Hundreth arr. Lynette Mannard
WELCOME AND CALL TO WORSHIP
HYMN: Now Thank We All Our God [Nun Danket Alle Gott]
PRAYER
SOLO: Thankful by Carol Bayer Sager, David Foster and Richard Page; Myles Mineer, bass
Some days we forget to look around us; some days we can’t see the joy that surrounds us. So caught up inside ourselves, we take when we should give. So for today, we pray for what we know can be. And on this day we hope for what we still can’t see. It’s up to us to be the change, and even though we all can still do more, there’s so much to be thankful for. Look beyond ourselves; there’s so much sorrow. It’s way too late to say, “I’ll cry tomorrow.” Each of us must find our truth, so long overdue. Even with our differences there is a place we’re all connected; each of us can find each other’s life. So for today, we pray, we pray for what we know can be. And on this day, we hope for what we still can’t see. It’s up to us to be the change, and even though this world needs so much more, there’s so much to be thankful for.

THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
HYMN: Why Should I Feel Discouraged? [Sparrow]
