WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP
PRAYER OF PRAISE
HYMN: Men of Faith, Rise Up and Sing (Shout to the North) [Smith]
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
INTROIT: The Call of Jesus by Michael Larkin
If we could hear the call of Jesus like James and John we’d go, spreading the Word of true salvation so all the world would know. If we would live the life of Jesus embracing the poor and weak, we’d show God’s love to all the world, uplifting the humble and meek. If we could bear the pain of Jesus, hung on a cross, we’d die doing the will of God our Creator preparing a home on high. If we would share the love of Jesus and with the Spirit be filled, caring, giving, forgiving, praising, a glorious world we’d build! [Richard Waterhouse]
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
SCRIPTURE LESSON: Psalm 116
HYMN: What Shall I Render to the Lord (Psalm 116) [Martyrdom]

ANTHEM: In the Land of the Living by Philip W. J. Stopford
I love the Lord, for he has heard the voice of my supplication, because he inclined his ear to me on the day I called to him. The snares of death encompassed me; the pains of hell took hold of me; by grief and sorrow was I held. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. Then I called upon the name of the Lord: “O Lord, I beg you, deliver my soul!” Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord watches over the simple; I was brought very low and he saved me. Turn again to your rest, O my soul, for the Lord has been gracious to you. I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living. For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling, in the land of the living. [Psalm 116:1-9]
