INTROIT:  And All the Earth Shall Own Him Lord (based on “Jerusalem”) by C.H.H. Parry/arr. by Fred Bock

And did those feet in ancient time walk upon Israel’s mountains green?  And did the Christ of heaven come down?  Was God in flesh both heard and seen?  And did He die to prove His love?  And did He rise more powerful still?  And was His rule on earth started there upon Golgotha’s tragic hill?  Bring me my bow of burning gold!  Bring me my arrows of desire!  Bring me my spear!  O clouds unfold!  Bring me my Chariot of Fire!   I will not cease to spread His light: my faith a shield, His Word my sword; ‘Till Christ, my God, is crowned as King, and all the earth shall own Him Lord. [adapted from William Blake by Bryan Jeffery Leech]

ANTHEM:  Let This Mind Be in You by Craig Courtney

Let his mind be in you, which was in Lord Jesus Christ: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.  But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in human likeness: and being found in human fashion, He humbled Himself, became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Wherefore God has raised Him up, and given Him a name above all names: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, whether in heaven or earth or under the earth; that every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God. [Philippians 2:5-11]

BENEDICTION

RESPONSE:  Silently, Tears Were Flowing by C.J. Adams

Silently, tears were flowing down the Savior’s eyes.  As he prayed, “Thy will be done,” his tears could not be denied.  His disciples were with him in dark Gethsemane.  Silently, tears were flowing, tears of agony.  While hanging on a tree, the soldiers were mocking him at cruel Calvary.  Silently, tears were flowing, tears for you and me.  The crowd cried out in hate! With thieves on either side, deserving of their fate, silently, tears were flowing, tears of love and grace. [J. Paul Williams]
