Finding it inconceivable that great wisdom and depth of understanding did not precede us, we are, after the Bible, guided in our faith by the great statements of classic Christian orthodoxy such as the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Westminster Confession of faith.

In brief, we believe

  • In the Creator-God, who is revealed everywhere but particularly in the history of the Hebrew people and most especially in Jesus Christ.  God is infinitely great, the one true Supreme Being.  God made all that exists, shows men and women the right way to live, and loves all the world.
  • In Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who took on human flesh to save sinners, died on our behalf, rose from the grave, and now seeks us still. He is fully divine and fully human, and will one day bring God’s perfect will in all places for all time.
  • In the Holy Spirit, who is the presence and life of God among us.  He transforms people, enabling them to fulfill their potential, lead lives of justice and compassion, and proclaim by word and deed the good news of Jesus Christ.
