ANTHEM: Lord, You Have Been Our Dwelling Place by Lloyd Larson

Lord, you have been our dwelling place throughout all generations. Lord you have been our dwelling place before the mountains were born. Before the earth was created you have been our dwelling place.  Teach us to number our days aright that we may gain a heart of wisdom.  Satisfy us in the morning that we may sing for joy all of our days! May your deeds be shown to your servants, your splendor to their children.  May the favor of God rest upon us, O God!  O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home!  Before the hills in order stood, or earth received her frame, from everlasting thou art God, to endless years the same.  O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, be thou our guide while life shall last, and our eternal home!  Amen!   [Based on Psalm 90]

SCRIPTURE: Exodus 25:1-8

The Lord said to Moses:  Tell the Israelites to take for me an offering; from all whose hearts prompt them to give you shall receive the offering for me.  This is the offering that you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze, blue, purple, and crimson yarns and fine linen, goats’ hair,  tanned rams’ skins, fine leather, acacia wood,  oil for the lamps, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, onyx stones and gems to be set in the ephod and for the breastpiece.  And have them make me a sanctuary, so that I may dwell among them.

Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and the Spirit of truth dwelleth within you: for the temple of God is holy, which temple are ye: for the love of whom ye do this day celebrate the joys of the temple with a season of festivity.  O how awesome is this place.  This is the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.  [From Antiphons of the Feast of Dedication]

BENEDICTION

BENEDICTION RESPONSE: We’ve Come This Far by Faith  Arranged by Mary McDonald

We’ve come this far by faith, leaning on the Lord. Trusting in his holy Word.  He’s never failed me yet.  Oh, oh, oh, can’t turn around, we’ve come this far by faith.  Don’t be discouraged with trouble in your life.  He’ll bear your burdens and move all discord and strife!  Just remember the good things he has done, things that seemed impossible.  Oh, praise him for the victories he has won.  Oh, oh, oh, can’t turn around, we’ve come this far by faith!  [Albert A. Goodson]
